Real estate investor and manager Cromwell Property Group (Cromwell) has officially opened the newest section of Janki Shopping Centre (Janki) in Warsaw, Poland, following the completion of a major €65 million expansion and refurbishment.

The expansion saw an additional net lettable area (NLA) of 21,000 sqm added to the centre, which now comprises a total NLA of 94,000 sqm.

In the first five days upon opening, Janki was visited by approximately 110,000 people. Alongside the expansion, the centre has been repositioned to include a more diversified tenant mix between retail and leisure, significantly broadening the customer offer.

Janki is anchored by major tenants including Leroy Merlin, Media Markt, Cinema City and the Auchan hypermarket, which are complemented by 170 medium-sized stores including Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, C&A, Go Sport, H&M, KappAhl, Kazar, New Yorker, Reserved, Rossmann and Sephora.

A new food and beverage precinct called Restaurama was added throughout the refurbishment works, and includes 20 establishments offering foods from all over the world.

There is also a free car park with more than 3,000 under and above ground parking spaces, which include 40 electric charging points.
